Aislinn Blythe Perry's Story
"Trapped on Planet Fineta"
As he ran closer to the village, what Matt thought were houses from a distance turned out to be mud tents. Each tent was chocolate brown with shimmering yellow circles. The village looked abandoned until people with pale, blue bunny ears on the tops of their heads came out. Matt approached one girl.
“Excuse me, but my ship crashed.” Matt noticed that her arms were flopping around as if they were weightless.
“Welcome to Planet Fineta. My name is Taquena. What is your name?”
“My name is Matt Cruise,” he replied.
“You wish for our help?”
Matt turned down the offer. The villagers couldn’t possibly help him with their primitive appearance.
Over the next week, Taquena had Matt picking berries and dragging heavy trees. He even stitched clothing.
“You aliens are so behind compared to Earth,” Matt would remark. Ofcourse this upset Taquena.
“We are not aliens! You are the alien!” Taquena would yell.
One day, Taquena went to Matt and said, “Matt…my little sister Lethelba died today. Will you come to her burial?”
“Of course.”
At the burial, Matt saw Taquena’s sadness. Her face was red as fire, her eyes filling up with crystal clear water. Matt realized how intolerant he had been to the villagers. They had welcomed him, but he had called them aliens and laughed at their beliefs.
Later, Taquena came to him and said, “Take this Power Stone for your ship. Now that you respect us you deserve to go home.”
So Matt attached the Power Stone to the spaceship. As he stared the glistening crystal of the stone, a portal opened up in the sky. As Matt flew up unto the tunnel of colours, he whispered, “Good-bye Taquena,” an then he disappeared.
