The Book of the Month is...

Each month a new book is selected by a chapter member or by a World Literacy of Canada staff member - if you have a suggestion please send the name of the author and title of the book to info@worldlit.ca. 

We here at World Literacy of Canada love to read, and as you know, the majority of people in the world do not have this luxury. So to encourage members to keep reading and supporting a cause while doing it (even thought we know it is a struggle to do even more while at school) we have created a list of ideas for chapter members to do with the Book of the Month:

 -Start a local or online book club

- Select a chapter or section from the book to read and create a question list to use as the basis for a discussion at your next chapter meeting

- Use the book's theme to help create a related workshop activity

- Contact the author and ask if he or she would be willing to do a fundraiser or be a guest speaker for your Chapter
