Katherine Schoen's story

"The Adventure on the Moon"

Matt went up to the village. It was just like a human village with buildings and wells. Matt was curious so he stepped through the village gate. Immediately the village disappeared. Matt was puzzled. It had been there a second ago. How could it have disappeared so quickly? He stepped back and up popped the village right in front of him. This time Matt reached out his hand to touch the wall. It was solid! He touched the wall again and walked in. It was still solid but it was invisible. He contented to walk on what he thought was the road. “Thunk!” He had walked into something! Somebody opened a door, “Hey! Watched where you’re walking!”

“Sorry I can’t see anything,” Matt said, “would you mind helping me fix my ship?”

“Sure if you help us.” A voice said, “My name is Jon.”

“What do you need help with?” Matt asked.

“Well, this human got mad at us and cast a spell on us that made us invisible. We want to be visible again. The human got the spell from a book. We can get the book for you but we can’t come out of the village or else we will turn into pigs,” Jon said. Jon and his friend got the book and gave it to Matt. When Matt stepped out of the village the book turned visible! It was very thick with a black cover. Matt opened it slowly. For days and days he searched through the book. When finally on the tenth day…

“Yes! I found the page! I found the page!” Matt let out a whoop. He went running around the village wall yelling, “I’ve found it! I’ve found the page!”

There was a thudding noise of feet and the calling out of names. “We’re all here.” Jon said.

“All you have to do is come out leading an animal. It’s quite easy,” he said.

He ran back out of the village and led all the people out to his ship. They fixed the ship in a matter of seconds. Matt launched the ship and was off.
