"The Heavenly Friends"

Walking ahead exhausted, he dropped to the ground and fell asleep. Opening his eyes to some strange sounds, he saw 3 figures peering over him. They looked like…ALIENS?? Sounding perky, he said aloud, “Hi, I’m Matt Cruse, from Earth. I’m an astronaut and …” he paused to take a breath. But the aliens just stood and stared. Matt was intrigued by their babbling. Were they calling for a rendezvous to talk about him? The aliens said, “Dee bobo fa see lu.” “What?! Go there!?” asked Matt. “Youao,” the aliens said. They lead him to the village.

Soon, Matt found himself in a rock cave where the leader of aliens was present. While they were talking, Matt remembered he had a flower. He thought to himself, “I need their help.” The leader admired the beauty of the flower. Matt waited anxiously. They agreed to let him stay.

Matt dashed to his airship to get belongings. He shared their food of colourful rocks. Some of the aliens tasted beans. “Hmmmm,” they said. Matt was excited.

The next day he knew he had to leave. Understanding his problem, 2 aliens scampered off. They pried the part of the damaged airship. With nimble fingers, they did their job, as Matt watched awestruck. After a few minutes, they finished.

“Thank you,” said Matt. The aliens gifted him a neckpiece. Matt shook the leader’s wobbly hand ignoring the green slime.

Feeling nervous, he waved until the doors closed. “Grrrrr….” He could see figures jumping in joy. Matt’s heart was pounding as the airship soared. Soon he contacted ‘people’ on Earth and sensed their panic. After all, he had been ‘out of sight’ for a day.

The excitement was palpable for his landing. Matt narrated his adventure. Everyone thought it was an unreal story, but Matt was dreaming of his ‘heavenly friends’.
