Pre-School Literacy Classes (Balwadis)
These classes, run by local teachers trained by WLC, help urban and rural children aged 3 to 6 discover reading at the same time as their mothers.
Beyond boosting their literacy skills in preparation for formal school, balwadis provide a means to distribute daily nutritional supplements and introduce children and their families to the other projects in our holistic model.
