Sonia Chhay's Story

…All he knew was that he’d need their help if he had any hope of getting his ship back into the sky so he started to walk toward the village.

Unfortunately, the village people he met did not want to help him because he was different, so he sadly left the village. Suddenly, he heard a child called him to wait! Excited and yet surprised at the same time he spun around. The child named Maddison told Matt that she was a daughter of a mechanic and could try to help him.

Maddison quickly ran back to the village and appeared with some tools. Matt was exhilarated that she could supply the tools and told her that he would certainly appreciate her help. Matt and Maddison worked together on the airship for hours when suddenly their work was interrupted by an explosion! Matt told Maddison to stay back while he went to find out what happened. Matt found out that there was a robbery and rushed in to help catch the criminals. When Matt succeeded, everyone in the village admired him and told him that they were sorry they did not help him.

When all of the village including Matt and Maddison worked together to fix the airship, they all got it all finished and fixed up.

Now, with the mechanic problem out of the way, there was a new problem. It was how to lift it into the sky. Matt pondered for a moment and came up with an idea. His idea was if they could build a huge catapult to catapult him in to the sky. Then, he would quickly turn it on and fly away! The villagers quickly agreed that that was best idea, so day after day they all worked on the catapult. When it was finished they did a test run, and surprisingly it worked! So as Matt, Maddison and the villagers loaded the airship in, Matt said good-bye and thank-you.
