Stuti Josh's Story
"Dilemma Dud"
Matt removed his suit and stretched his warm furry body. Convincing himself that he could receive the parts, he strolled to the old, filthy village. In the heart of the parish, there was a tree, a storybook tree which he longed for in his wildest dreams.
An hour later, he reached the rural community. Hesitating, he looked round and saw angry, gruff dogs eyeballing him and finally stammered his name and the dilemma he was in.
“Forget it.” Whispered and aged female canine who pushed through the crowd. “Come with me. I live on the border of the city.”
After going with the senior, he questioned her why the dogs acted fierce. “They will not try to accept anyone except the citizens. Long ago, when the worlds were young, Vikings battled with us almost victoriously. Everyone except my ancestors, relatives and my family now fear anyone may do us much harm,” she replied.
Lovingly, she accommodated Matt for a few days. She was out many times to convince the community council. Wearily, she returned home all those days and took care of Matt. At times she was in deep thought and when Matt asked, she replied with a forcible smile.
With a deep sigh, she went to Dogs Hall for the tenth time after Matt came. The council reached their decision. The old female’s heart was jumping with happiness once she heard the decision. She ran home, but stumbled on a grapefruit sized rock.
Unfortunately, she had broken her hip bone, but soon called for Matt. “Matt, they will give you the pieces that you require if you will take the villagers on a galaxy tour. They will also supply you extra strength gasoline for your long trip back.” Matt reluctantly agreed and finally reached safely home.
